Don't replace the crank. No need to as nobody has ever reported issues with it. You could get yours balanced but no need for an aftermarket one. Stick with a gm head gasket as some people have had issues with cometic. Gm rod bearings are fine, no need to spend the extra money on the clevites. I'd consider ZZP springs because they require no modification to the head. Since you are 05 getting sleeves might be worth it since you have a gen 1 block which isn't as strong as the gen 2 in the 07+'s. And unfortunately trifecta is the only option for tuning for you.

bearings - as long as you're well oiled and allow your car to warm up before you do your beating, you'll be fine with any. gm bearings are what i'm running.

i put zzp's neutral balance shafts in when i built mine. there's no driveability issues. just make sure you locktite the bolt that holds the sprocket on the shaft

you could go to a 9.5:1 ratio for a bit more boost. would just lose lower end. i put 10:1's in mine and i have power all the way through like it's cool

There's a few people who have the girdled block. If you are asking if it's a good piece, absolutely, but not really necessary unless you plan on huge power and I mean over 600 whp by that. Darton sleeves will do fine if you aren't looking for something crazy. I believe stenguyen did the oil pump gears and the balance shafts are up to you. They'll free up some power but the main purpose for them is to let you rev past 7.5k more safely. I also went with 10:1 compression which as bankerbalt said you keep your low end power and just run less boost. With lower compression you would have to run more boost to make the same power as on 10:1. Lower compression is safer but if you're careful and don't try to have a really aggressive tune the higher compression will be fine even with a turbo

Nobody makes them. Your option is 8.9:1 wisecos or having a custom set made

false. you can contact wiseco and have them build a 9.5:1 compression if you'd like.

and actually, you can get forged pistons for lsj, which are 9.5:1 compression. they are the same bore

also, just realized you said "custom set made" ><

LSJ's have a different wrist pin size so you can't use them with L61 rods and yeah I meant custom made by like someone like wiseco lol
