2.2L intake manifold vs a 2.4 L intake manifold

i have a 06 cobalt 2.2 and wanting to switch the intake manifold using a 2.4L is there a difference if years in the cobalt from the manifold stand point what years can i use. What do i look 4 when i get one

crateenginedepot.com sells the intake swap kits, or you can look in the classified. but you would be better off gettin a 2.4 intake manifold and 2.4 throttle body. you will just need a tune for the TB tho

If you buy the gaskets from the dealer and find just the manifold you can swap it directly over except you will need to run a new longer vaccum line from the brake booster(cheap) and drill/file out the hole for the MAP sensor slightly bigger because if you try to hit the sensor in you will break the sensor or the intake...Mine works great....a tune would be more beneficial but with all my bolt on's that I have other than the 2.4 mani... I figure I should be sitting pretty even with the 2.4vvt crank horsepower right about now....idk havent dyno'd it...

well i went to the dealership and looked at a 2.2l and a 2.4L mani. well as far as bolting up it looks the same but on the front there different the 2.2l has some kind of sensor that the 2.4 didn't have and the 2.4 had some hose ports on it the 2.2 didn't have i took pic of both if anybody wants to see them. can somebody explain to me why there different on the front.
