2.2l Tuning
There is a local dyno near me and im about to finish my 2.2 SC build up, my question is how good is the can tune? They dyno here is $100/hour and is a reputable tuner, he told me though that hes never tuned a cobalt before. What should i do?
My mods if anyone needs to know:
Header
ZZP 2.5 catted dp
2.25 CBE
2.8 Pulley
Opt B
Dual Pass
ZZP S2 HE
Siemens 60#
Injen CAI
Stage 2 Belt
Let me know homies!

Ok so skip the dyno? I thought the dyno may be better because someone is actually there in your car vs over the internet. So this can tune is really that good?
Also thanks for the input.

Hpytuners cannot tune 05 and 06. I don't trust a tuner that isn't with the car on a forced induction set up. You can bring it to a dyno shop and have them efi tune it but tell them your rods can only take 250hp safely, not 250whp. That 2.8 could blow up your engine

well i was aiming for 260whp, I dont beat on my car a ton and I have a spare motor thats bone stock. I would like it to last for a little bit, you really think 250hp on the rods is max? I feel that it could take more, ive seen other people on here make more than 250whp but i guess every build is different

Agree. Careful with that 2.8" pulley. 3.0" would be plenty with your stock internals @ 10 psi. Unless you don't like your car.
I've tuned 3 s/c Cobalts with Trifecta. Took a bit of time but lots of power! Example- last 2.2 s/c I Tuned went from 16.1 @ 84 stock to 14.3 @ 100.8 with a 3.0" and 60 lb - ZZP setup. A bit more fiddling and he will be in the 13’s for sure. Too bad you're not in my area.

I wish Themacguy, there isnt anyone around the cincy area that i ever see. Ive seen 2 others cobalts, 1 stock LNF white and a LSJ with Euro taillights and 20's haha. I feel lonely haha. Also a 3" pulley will put him in the 13's thats insane, I went with a 2.8 cause i thought that would get me in the 13's but nothing less would.

rods, pistons, rod bearings, new timing chain set, head studs, head gasket and new valve springs will run you around 2000$. if you wanting to run a 2.8 i wouldnt reccomend anything less than that.
