2.4 intake manifold swap

does the 2.4 manifold swap show a big improvement? or is it just blowing $200 for a slight gain?

it has good gains without a tune imo. but with a tune it will be a lot better obv. but its not a total waste if your trying to get some decent power for cheap. it pulls a lot harder past 4000 then the regular manifold

well.. in your perspective, should i get the 2.4 manifold swap or get a lowering kit? both are about the same amount.

You will definately see an increase in power. It will shift the power band up a bit, but most people don't seem to mind that.

You can make your own manifold "kit" by buying all the parts separately. Its alot cheaper that way. I believe it is in the neighborhood of $150.

alright, so i've decided to order the parts for the manifold. i have on my list to order as follows:
2.4 manifold
PVC seal
TB Seal
extended brake hose

do i need the adapter plate and seal for my 2007 cobalt?
or will it bolt on directly without it?

This is the best mod you can do for your car for the price. Get an exhaust and intake and complete the package. Or, lowering is always fun and just about never lets you down.

Just don't expect a world of difference. But, I'd say the only other cheap mod better than this is no2.

Yes it can be put on a car with SAIR, the intake manifold has nothing to do with the SAIR system.https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/how-guide-43/2-4-intake-manifold-install-2008-2-2-a-135051/ <<<<<<<<My 2008 w/SAIR

2007 you dont need the adpater.

the part numbers are around here somewhere. If everyone else is lazy maybe Ill look them up later.

I too am getting tired of seeing so many threads regarding this mod. Please just use search a little bit guys....Weve been over all of this at least a dozen times and there are at least 2 how-tos.

I posted them as well. The CED kit is a waste of money if youve got an 07/08 (and 05/06 if you really get down to it )
