All you really need is this:
12587878: Intake Manifold, 1st design LE5 $125ish

12600729: Seal, Throttle Body $10ish

12589516: Seal, Crankcase vent $10ish

2.4L brake booster hose, or extend yours.

I dont know, I havent read Faceless's post so I have no idea what hes posting. But I can tell you that in order to install a 2.4 manifold on an 07-08 2.2 all you need is the manifold, PCV seal, TB seal, and either the 2.4 brake hose or a way to extend your brake hose. Thats it.

07s and 08s are different. there is an adapter that you need for 05-06. thats why CED is a lot more. comes with EVERYTHING you need for 05-06. not sure how much the adapter is but i think around 60.

before any more discussion goes on, read this
https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/2-2l-l61-performance-tech-45/2-4intake-mani-question-110903/

there is a post somewhere i think second page where it list what parts are needed for 07

05-06 will be better to just get the kit from CED cause its all-in-one

You need the adapter plate for the throttle body for any 05, 06, or 07 2.2L L61. The reason is due to the 08 Mani having a hole that needs to be blocked by the adapter plate between the throttle body and the 2.4 mani, that if unblocked will cause a CEL....I remember this going around when this was still new stuff....on the 08's I don't know, but I'd rather be safe than sorry, worse comes to worse you don't need it you can sell it to me I need it for my 07 hehehehe

and the other dude is right, the SAI system has nothing to do with any intake system, and the pipes can be removed from the air box all the way down to the air pump.

07 and 08 are the same. you do NOT need adapter plate for 07's

05 and 06 the only extra parts you need are the spacer, which is available for purchase by itself, a paper gasket which you can make yourself and another TB bolt. its still cheaper to piece it together for 05/06. CED is charging for a custom gasket and the expensive 2.4 brake hose. just do it yourself. And even if you want the 2.4 brake hoe(I use it, since I didnt want to modify anything) you should still be able to piece together everything you need regardless of year for less than the CED kit with careful shopping.

One of my closest friends works for saturn and he removes 2.2 and 2.4 engines all day(how I got mine for $50). I can get the manifold for around $20 used with gaskets. So I am not spending that much for the damn thing, especially since my ass dyno probably wont feel the difference.

Good ol Maven to the rescue to set us all straight. Lol. So why is it that we cant use our stock brake booster hose? Too short?

Because it is too short....2.2 brake booster hose attaches behind the intake (between intake and block) and has an adapter on it...2.4 brake booster hose connects fwd of the throttle body and just slides over the nipple.

dont really want to drag this post out any longer but just curious, did you get the CED already made kit or did you get the kit from gmpartdirect and got the parts from auto advanced and stuff?
and estimated time for installment?

i ordered all of the parts separately from gmpartsdirect.com. costed $186 w/ shipping. CED kit with shipping was like.. $225. so i saved almost $50. but you have to get the CED kit if you have an 05-06. you need the adapter plate for the TB. i have an 07 so i didnt need it.

oh. and it took me like.. an hour and a half to install it. wouldve been faster, but i didnt have an 15/32'' drill bit, i had an 11/32'' so i had to improvise and make the plug fit right.
