Try taking it off and cleaning the intake ports on the head. When I did mine I noticed a lot of grim and dirt fell into the ports after taking off the old Mani. It was crusted dirt that built up around the old Mani that fell into the ports after it was removed. I suggest you clean your ports, check your seals and reseat the entire manifold to be on the safe side.

Good luck.

Yeah, there was alot of dirt on mine as well. I blew as much off as I could with compressed air like CED suggested and then took a few minutes to make sure that nothing ended up in the ports.

I would recommend going with a full exhaust system before buying the 2.4 intake manifold.
