this only works for the 07+ bc 05-06 need the adapter plate and might as well order the kit off of CED

order the following:
LE5 Intake Manifold (Part# 12587878)
PVC Seal (Part# 12589516)
Extended Brake Hose
Throttle Body Seal (Part# 12600729)

total w/ shipping comes to around $185.
beats the $230 that you would pay with the CED kit.
so those are all the parts for the 2.2 to 2.4 manifold swap and 2.2 to 2.4 throttle body swap?

ya man......i didnt realize that was a list of the components just for the manifold swap just as in the CED kit...

does anyone have a part list for the throttle body sway or i am looking to much into this and the only part needed is the 2.4 throttle body?

The 2.4 TB is all you need to bolt right up to the 2.4 Manifold. Get rid of all the adapter from the CED kit and stuff like that. Just make sure you have 4 bolts to mount it to the manifold.

well i heard that if you have an '07, that you do not need the adaptor plate. is the extra hole why? i know that the adapter plate kicks the bolt hole up to where mine is located now, but why is the extra hole there. do the '07 2.2 and 2.4's use the same throttle body? the same throttle body has the holes to fit either manifold. so would it be a waste to "upgrade to th 2.4 tb along with the manifold because it is the same tb? that doesnt make sense, i figure they are different. but why would the '07 2.2 tb have the holes to fit both?

hope that made sense.

here is the 2.4 manifold and 2.2 adapter plate taken from sentry's sale thread

i don't believe that the '07 uses the 2.2l throttle body. i think its just a different TB totally, hence why the 05-06 is different/incompatible from the '07.

So these are all the parts i need for the 2.2 to 2.4 manifold swap on my 07. I thought the ced kit was $250 + shipping too so this would be cheaper this way around.

put the 2.4 throttle body on the cammed cobalt. still in the tuning process but so far the problem with the jump idle has smoothed out.
