if you want one new your best bet is to go to a dealer and order one. other then that, you will have to get it used from someone

what about the LS4 t/b's ?

never mind, found it. 159 for a new one on gmpartsdirect

and it apears to have the same bolt pattern as the 2.4 t/b. hmmmmm i may just go to a junk yard and pick up an LS4 t/b just to see if will w/ no modifications, i.e. adaptor plate. hmmmmm ill keep you guys posted. I already know the correction value for Vince to use as a starting point for the idle air field.

the LS4 bolt pattern is the bottom intake mani in this picture... the top mani is an LS2 intake mani

Throttle Body Seal (Part# 12600729)

From what I have heard about that TB it's almost not worth the time and effort. Supposodly it just makes the throttle really really touchy and harder to drive.

from what he said, i am assuming yes
vince and i may do this in person when i get a 2.4 tb...i have been tuned by him and have a dyno of the current, but i need some cash for the dyno and buy the tb/adapter plate

this only works for the 07+ bc 05-06 need the adapter plate and might as well order the kit off of CED

order the following:
LE5 Intake Manifold (Part# 12587878)
PVC Seal (Part# 12589516)
Extended Brake Hose
Throttle Body Seal (Part# 12600729)

total w/ shipping comes to around $185.
beats the $230 that you would pay with the CED kit.
well i got the manifold used, and ordered the 2 seals by the part numbers listed, but didnt get what i expected.

the throttle body seal is well, the throttle body seal. thing is that i expected the other one to be the 4 ring seals for the manifold-head connection. what i got was a small metal plate (with a hole in the center) with a seal around it. im sure i can re use the ones i have, but im afraid that i will rip them swapping them to the new manifold.

its the thing inbetween the plate and the other seals.

does anyone have the part number for the 4 other seals?

How can I be sure what year my throttle body is? I ordered one from gmpartsdirect and it just says its for 06-07... Its already been shipped. Are we sure there is a difference?

Wait.. so a 2006 2.4TB is a direct plug and play swap on a 2006 2.2?

That's what I am trying to figure out. I think it is but you will still need a tune to make it work.

if you dont have a tune you car will go into limp mode. it senses a greater allowance of air into the engine and registers a leak.

Yeah I know that already what I really want to know is wiring plug and play or am I going to have to gut the wiring and run it?

I do not think so

I have the 2008 2.2 and the wiring is a 6 pin. I got a 2.4 throttle body (2007??) and it has a 8 pin plug assembly.
I was going to install it and tune it today but now that aint gonna happen.
