2 Good 2 Be True!?
They say when something seems too good ot be true, it probably is...Well this racing chip is offering 35HP gain and it only costs $29.95 + $5 for shipping....Thats like $1 per Horsepower. Here is the link:

Is it possible? Thats ridiculous if it is. It would take us Base/LS/LT owners above the SS 2.4. Please tell me its true

There are no chips in the Cobalt

If you can find out what resistance you need and what pins you need to put resistance across, you could do it yourself very cheap. That is why they always cover the stripes in the resistors if the resistor is exposed on the eBay pics and don't actually tell where it plugs into. They don't want you to know and have you do it yourself for cheap.
But I do not recommend them at all. Go with a reprogram, if you can find one. They are more expensive, but much better for your car.
couple problems I found.
They claim 35hp but the dyno only shows 10.
This module has two wires, power and ground, so how can it integrate to even do anything?
Lastly, think of whats wrong with this description, directly from Ebay:
This item is only designed for the: Chevy Cobalt and Monte Carlo
Will not work with the SS model
All 91-Current production year
Hint: Cobalt wasnt introduced until 2005 !!!
My opinion? walk away, dont look back.

what the "chip" does is, it plugs into where you IAT would plug in(intake air temp) and it alters the resistance seen by your computer and the computer richenes out your air fuel mixture. i actually purchased one and had it on my 93 merc sable 3.8 and it gave it some punch...let me tell you...but in about an hour the computer realized what was happening and reset everything to defaults and it stopped working for me. so i dont know if it would work on a newer car like the cobalt because the computer system is so much smater than before but its your money..

haha jk
If you want the same thing for a very small portion of the cost...go to your local electronics shop (Radioshack and etc.) and buy a resistor for $0.25 and install it on your wires for the temp sensor. That is all this thing is.
Like stated above, all it does is trick the computer into thining it is colder outside than it is. Since it thinks that it is colder it adds more fuel. Not good if you really want performance.
