so i was cruising on the 15 north and i see this white possible an 07 corvette...not a z06 just a corvette...and well i just wanted to see if i could keep up...so i get in front of it and start cruising fairly fast about 80 or so...and then i switch lanes and i see that the corvette is now chasing me...so i figuered maybe she wants to play....it was a chick driving...so i slow down and wait for her to get next to me...and i look over and i give her the wats up look....lol....so she smashed it and i did too....and she started pulling from me and then all of a sudden my boost kicked in...its wierd though cuz i have my waste gate is rigged to be always open right now so i should not be building any boost....and sure enough it did...i looked over and i was making about 6lbs...and then i was shocked to see her starting to trail me....we both had the WTF!!! look on our faces....

so i guess that counts as a win right....lol....im still confused...i thought corvettes were faster....but dayam my car sounds good at WOT

 

welll even though your wastegate was set to boost asap.. when you're cruising you're not going to be making any boost.. thats why people brake boost.. hwoever.. nice kill .. needz more pics and vidz though

 

She will never want none from a cobalt ever again.

Probably the only time she's ever raced it, must have really bad luck. lol

so yea im having some issues with my wastegate...i think i set the preload too high...so ill be doing some adjustments tomorrow and see if i can get this thing working right...ive been getting some crazy fluttering and vibrations......

i did some reading and looks like the WGA should have a slight pre load...and i pre loaded it...Too HIGH!!!!!
now im starting to think that my old wastegate was good and it just needed a slight adjustment...man watever...at least i know i have a NEW good working actuator that will not leak...
