The E16 is an "orphan" used only in the 2.2 Cobalts and IONs
The E37 is "new" but will likely be used on more than one product. Currently it's used not only on the L61 Cobalts but also on the new 2007 GMT900 pickup trucks as well (with certain engines)
All you can do is maybe start a 2.2 E16 thread on the HP Tuner forum and start getting people from here (and maybe on SaturnFans.com??) to start saying "What about us??"
Good Luck

Great info, everyone, thanks!
That looks just like the 2.4 VVT coil-on-plug system, which of course is a tad different than the LSJ COP setup, if only in aesthetics. But beauty is in the eye of the beholder...I like the excellent accessibility this arrangement offers as compared to the previous L61 or even the LSJ.
And that old L61 dual-shared-coil ignition arrangement was really long in tooth, as it dates back to the Quad 4/TwinCam approach. Although, I can offer this about it...on our wicked Sunfire, we have fired 28 PSI of boost with it, so it's pretty capable!
I'm optimistic that the coil-on-plug setup will be at least as good, likely better. In every other application, they rock!

I just bought my 2007 SS/ NA in the begining of October thinking it would be better on fuel then my 2000 V6 Cougar was, but honestly, this thing is just as bad if not worse on fuel economy than my Cougar was. My estimated fuel range says i can usually go around 360 +/- a few miles on a full tank, but its more like between 200 and 250 miles on a full tank.
Maybe i bought a messed up SS or something, lol, its a gas hog for a 2.4L.
