sorry guys i have been busy all day, reassembled the engine and dropped it in the car today, just finished after about 7-8 hrs of work...
stainless steel valves

2007 L61 head, completely rebuilt with bates engineering valvetrain and comp cams stg 2 cams

close up of cam position sensor ring

sensor ring pressed on, incredible machine work on the end of cam, after shortening it a bit

bates incredibly designed hydraulic cam chain tensioner

If anyone is interested in Comp Cams for their 2005-06 2.2L ecotec, we have them at www.TurboTechRacing.com
well i dont know, really.. before, i just had the k&n short ram, now i got that, plus the neutral balance shafts, the stg 2 cams, all bates valvetrain, trifecta tune, lsj header and downpipe, so.. i dont know?
im thinking anywhere from 20-40 hp gain.

how hard was it to get these cams to fit? i want stage 2's for my balt but im not sure of what all is involved in gettin em in there. i mean i know i would need new springs and retainers but im talking bout just getting the cams to fit. will they work in the stock head? i know you have i bunch of work done to it, didnt know if it was an aftermarket one or not....

if you get aftermarket valvesprings, you might have to go with a completely aftermarket valvetrain (springs, valves, seals, seats, retainers, etc.)
still waiting on that header...
bled the clutch and brakes today, clamped up the CV boots, ready to go except for its so loud and i dont wanna risk something breaking, plus its idling around 1300 probably because no o2 sensors are hooked up...

it sounds unbelievable. i threw on my factory header and just put it in 1st, gave it some gas, let the clutch out, then put it in reverse, and put it where it was....
best 5 seconds of my life lol
i cant wait to drive this thing. im too scared to **** something up with no exhaust on a rebuilt top end... dont want to bend a valve.
next: custom 2.5 catback w/flowmaster 40 series? then flywheel, and stg 2 clutch
next year: some LSJ rods and some .010 over 12:1 pistons
do it! do it!

nice high compression.that'll bump up the power.
I want to but money is so tight right now..id love to get a mild cam,header/DP-cat delete, just some little bolt ons to assist me in hittin 14's with no major power adders(blower, turbo, nitrous)then when i get bored build it for boost..but well see
