this is my DD, and due to our new family addition, im just gonna keep mine N/A

if you want to build it for boost, see if you can get those LSJ valves, i know the exhaust ones are sodium filled, or at least get some inconel exh valves, to handle the temps.

the guy at bates said these stainless valves are adequate for S/C but not a turbo, but i dont want to push them to their melting point, so N/A DD for me.

******* header is taking forever coming from canada

I got a chance to hear the car in person today and it sounds awesome! But then again it was loud as hell because it was coming right off the header. He needs that tune but it's going to be very nice once it's drivable.

Hey Brian, how about tomorrow I bring over my video camera and we can do some short videos of it? Obviously they're interested in seeing and hearing it.

the actual sensor is in the front drivers side of the head, held on by one bolt. the ring inside is on the intake cam. the ring inside works with the sensor outside.

vince told me the other day that if you got a tune and tuned that sensor out, you dont need it and could in theory use ANY cam for the 2.2

I'm going to go ahead and bump an extremely old thread because I never saw this before...I just always assumed the 07+ with CPS were **** out of luck.

Has anyone else done this besides OP and jbenso04? If this is something that can be done for a decent cost, I will have to look into this. Because I'm thinking about rebuilding the top end of my engine anyway...so why not add some more performance while I'm at it. I don't have any plans for SC or TC...but some extra power would be nice. Not to mention the sound of a cam.

Thanks for any help.

I'm out... I fucked up the engine. I'm buying a new car instead. I may keep the Cobalt and tear it apart or replace the engine next summer to either sell it or turn it into racecar with FI.
