AEM Boost and Wideband ?'s.
AEM Boost and Wideband ?'s.
So I recently purchased an AEM boost guage and AEM UEGO Wideband. I was looking for some how to's to install on cobalts and I couldnt find any.
So maybe someone could help me out or guide me in the right direction.
AEM Boost:
What are you using for the 12v power supply? Which fuse did you use?
Also im kinda confused on some of the parts it came with. Im confused about what the hose hooks up to

Im assuming that gold nozzle screws on the end there. Does the hose go on the end of that nozzle? Where would the end of the hose go?
AEM UEGO Wideband:
So I am getting LSJ headers and dp. Will I be able to use the o2 sensor in the headers for the wideband? Or is that needed for something else? I really dont want to have to pay a shop to weld a bung on for the sensor.

Also it uses an electronic boost sensor ok... still doesnt help me for installing it.
there is only one header and its actually a manifold. and no. the bung is 5$ and another 10-15 to have it welded. on the boost sensor its best to tap the intake manifold for your sensor if you dont want to do that, find a vacuum source line and screw the barbed fitting to the sensor and then but the barbed end into the vacuum line with a tee fitting. is that batter?

I understand the WB now. I just need to get the bung welded on the LSJ downpipe and hook the wires up and etc I get that.
ive never actually seen a lsj intake manifold in person so i couldnt tell you that. but by tapping i mean drill a hole somewhere in it where the sensor wont be in the way and then use a tap. probably 1/8 npt (cant tell from pics) as for the stem thing someone else will have to answer that
okay on the LSJ intake manifold there is a fitting for a vacuum line that normally goes to the LSJ boost bypass controller. you dont have that i think. you can simply run a vacuum line from that port on top of the manifold to the brass fitting.
Sweet, thats what I was hoping that was there for, just wasnt sure and didnt want to hook it up and not be getting an accurate boost reading. Looks like I still have to get a shop to weld a bung on for my wideband but hopefully I can get it done at a reasonable price.
The hose for the boost gauge though is super tiny and its a pain in the ass to get onto the nozzle/fitting or whatever. Guess its better that way thought so it doesnt slide off.
