Post AEM Bypass Valve

After driving 25 miles to work today doing about 20 mph because of poor visibility due to rain, I realized my CAI could cause bad hydro-lock. Texas is flooding like crazy! So, anyone know what size AEM bypass valve I need for my AEM intake? I can't go measure it right now, but I want this part ASAP.

After mindless web surfing, i am pretty sure your 3 inch, cause if im not mistaken your intake manifold is same size as mine.

You can get them on e-Bay. Just type in "AEM bypass" under search.

how does it effect performance? warmer air around it, less pressure on the filter down by your wheel... makes me wonder.... it keeps me up at night...

it's not there for performance. It's there so that if your regular filter gets plugged with water then it pulls air in from the bypass so you don't hydrolock your motor. It really doesn't pull much air when the filter is flowing properly.

Well, I definitely need this. I just went to lunch, and my car was being robbed of power. I looked down, and my CEL was on. Popped the hood, pulled the MAF sensor, and it was drenched. It could've been worse (as in hydro-lock) but I have a fan drying out the MAF as I'm typing this.

Yup, sucked in through the filter. I've got the MAF drying now, about to go pull the filter to let it dry out too so it'll be done by the time I get off work.
