According to cobalt-addiction.com the AEM CAI is a 2 piece design which will allow for it to convert to a short ram like the Injen. Dont know where you plan on ordering it from but i would check around prices seem to vary from place to place for both the AEM and the Injen. Personally i would go with the Injen only because i have heard of more people using them over the AEM and all seem to have good experience with it. Havn't heard much about the AEM but both are reliable brands.

Cobalt Addiction
AEM - $269.98 Shipped
Injen - $259.98 Shipped

Gravana Tuning
AEM - $259.99 + Shipping
Injen - $228.99 + Shipping

Turbo Tech Racing
AEM - $234.99 + Shipping
Injen - $266.00 + Shipping

Modern Performance
AEM - $214.99 Shipped
Injen - $229.99 Shipped

Thanks man. On a side note, I was asking cuz I have a deal lined up with a buddy. He has an SS/SC and ordered the one for the 2.2, and it's too late to return it so he's going to sell it to me. Only prob is he's in a different state, and no digi cam, so he cant take pics of it...

the pic under the car is of the bumper passenger side thats where the oem snorkel is and where the filter for the cold air intake goes. youll have to remove the small bolts to gain access to that area.

Priciate it man. I was hoping you could convert it to short ram, but it looks like if you do that you'll eliminate that sensor. Oh well, thanks for getting the pix, good lookin' out...

Exclamation Get the Injen

In a Cobalt with a 2.2L they increase power as:
AEM: 4.4HP The 2.2L Ecotec Cavy kits made just over 7HP.
Injen 8.4HP and 7.8 ft/lbs.

Thus I ordered the Injen from TTR and I love it!!

Just about any intake is going to throw a cel because of the maf sensor. I wouldn't worry about it. It usually will adjust itself in a couple of days to the new intake.

Now this is the short set-up correct?

Because Aaron from TTR said the AEM short set-up is warm air instead of the long set-up cold air.
My question is since the injen is the short set-up, then is that a warm air or a cold air?

The Injen is a CAI, but you can take the second pipe off and put the filter on, hence converting it to a short ram intake, which is what is in that pic. Short ram=better low end/tq, cold air better high end...
