I see it looks like everyone that has done this mod has done it on the 2.2. What do you guys think it would sound like done to the 2.4 with the stock muffler???

Dangit I wish I could have seen this before I bought the panel K&N filter for my 2.4L!! Though I did notice a difference in the sound by just replacing the filter alone, and it was quite good; and when my uncle was checking out my filter he didnt put the lid on properly, so there was only about half an inch of space but still when I slammed the pedal in 1st and 2nd That noise was incredilbe!! Looks like I'll have to go buy a new filter now! I've only had this one for a couple weeks but I do want the sound so I'm thinking it will be worth it!

Mason, how has this airbox mod been holding up? It's been quite a while since you installed it.

usually when a person feels like driving a quieter car is because they are getting old or bland

Ahhh, the younger generation VS the older generation.

Yeah, I'm about to pick up the GMPP touring exhaust, and I'm worried about my mother...lol

i think it should, as long as its a 3 inch radius. It'll be a tight fit tho

never heard the touring version so not sure how loud it would be....the thing about exhaust is that theres nowhere to hide it =P

yes. if you check my video, it's obvious that i bought a used lid and then went to town on it.

the nicce part is how you can switch back in about... 7 minutes.

Where did you get a used lid?

I'm going to be doing this to my car soon.

You shouldn't have a problem unless of course your car is a lease. This mod should in no way affect your warranty, unless you somehow mess up the install. (And I don't know how you could do that; this looks pretty simple. )

I am going to do the airbox mod on my 2.4 and was wondering which filter you guys are using on the 2.2. I got the AEM dryflow with a 3.25" inlet and found out it's too big. So I took it back and exchanged it for one with a 3" inlet, but this filter is 9" long. I think it might be too long to work. This one is also the AEM dryflow filter.
