another header question, did search..

ok so im on a real tight budget, and im thinking, can I port my stock header instead of buying a $400 one.. because im looking for a direct bolt on and dont want to have any warantee problems,, and I think that the dealer wont notice that I ported my header... is this a good idea, has someone done this? ifso how good is it and are you satisfy?

looking foward to answers...

well if you can trust your self to port it out then id try, but nothing beats an aftermarket manifold thats for sure!

Why not just buy the GMPP manifold?

I know cost is an issue... but you may end up paying just as much to get the stocker ported out.

well if I go up and buy the GMPP one,, I should start a collection lol bc I really don't have the money, bc im repairing my front bumper bc I had an accident and hit the side rail... so my money is going to that,, but I don't want this bumper to be a setback.. but is real spensive to buy a new one, from factory and thats my only option,, bc the shipping to PR is a bitch... owell don't know 4 sure what im going to do.. is the SS/SC header any diff from the LT one? I know they are all interchangeable but are they the same in tube size,,, because if it is an upgrade.. I could go for it...

let me know options...

if you're totally broke, i wouldn't mod your car at all. the good rule of thumb is if you can't afford to fix it when it breaks, leave it stock. just be patient and wait till you can save up some money.
