thinkin bout doin that.. its gonna be a ways out now that i know i have to get alot of other things to do it all.. now i have to get the gt tuner turbo kit the tranny tuner aem piggy and tranny cooler just to get it all workin for my car.. thats alot of extra money thats im gonna have to save up to get all that.. i guess its just gonna take some time for it to all come together.. maybe hptuners will come out with a tune for the 2.2 before then (doubt it though) to make it a lil easier and cheaper..

if your going with hahns kit for the turbo, give them a call when your going to order, cause the alpha kit comes with the injectors and boost gauge and the gt tuner kit doesnt, he told me he could compile the kit for me just without the tuning program, so thats less ya gotta look around for..

i have been making a lot of calls around and have to call greddy on monday about the e-manage ultimate because it says something about tranny tuning in there for the autos..

also talking to a harness company about making a plug and play harness for either the aem fic, emanage ultimate, or others if i can get them to for our cars.. i told them about how many people i no from the forums who would buy it.. i didnt get much other than a half assed answer that had nothing to do with my question.. so i sent another email specifying to them what i meant.. the only problem us autos are running into is tranny tuning.. only thing holding us back and paying 700 dollars for a standalone is quite a bit on the pricey side, but if it has to be done, then so be it..

i got a ways to go till i get the turbo, about 8 months or so.. i am buying the other main stuff first..

gauges, pods, engine and tranny mounts, downpipe, catback..

yeah i forgot bout the e-manage.. that would probley be better than gettin one thing for the engine and another for the trans and if we could get plug and play harnesses to go with it that would be really great too.. did hahn say if the price would be any cheaper with out the tuning with the alpha kit?

well it would be a custom compiled kit so id figure it would be about 100 dollars or so cheaper i guess, i didnt ask actually, but he offered me the best price on there downpipe and catback.. which when that tax thing comes back in june i no what i am going for.. i couldnt get both with the tax thing coming back, but i could get the catback without a problem

well i got a really shitty answer from the harness company stating that cobalts had no demand for harnesses so they wouldnt design one.. i am going to make a thread for people interested in buying them and will be contacting him to show him it.

lol yea i used to weld to at a mechanic shop but i have never attempted soldering, i saw something about clamping the wires or something, but still id rather pay 1-200 hundred for a pnp harness.. i am waiting though as aem said the pnp for our cars would be around feb or so.. they have nice tech support to for questioning... greddy is closed to monday so i will call them monday and see what there views are on building a harness for us, hell ill show them my thread on it.. some of the pnp harnesses out there they build have little demand, but a cobalt does have quite a bit.. they dont even have the srt pnp ones really on any sites, and they have huge demand..

yeah crimpin the wires for somethin like this isnt the best idea.. if it has to be done without a pnp then soldering is the only good way to do it.. hopefully everyone here will pull together and help get us a pnp built so we wont have to worry bout any soldering or crimping..

70-80 an hour around here, but one said theyd charge me an hours work and he'd be done..so 70 isnt bad considering the harness would be around 200 or more.. will see if all else fails..
