back from track again.

well just got back from the track. and wow i had some fun. but here it is...

well got to run 3 times. ran a 16.2 first time. then a 16.02 and then a 15.98

i was pumped to break into the 15's. might be VERY high 15's but im still excited.

mods are
SRI, LSJ EX MANi, LSJ catless DP and Bald tires. haha. and also a 60LB sub box and subs and amp. lol.

does that sound decent for my mods?

Your times sound okay to me. I remember when "bolted" V6s and 305 CID V8s in the 80s were running mid 16s to mid 17s

your running times i did with Injen in SRI, and tune.

from lookin at my time sheet, it was obvious i wasn't NLS'ing. I assume the same with your times.

If you have an auto, that's awesome times. With a 5 speed, ehhh.....sounds like you didn't stick the launch.

What 60' times?

I think a new set of tires will get you a better 60' time, which will result in a better 1/4 mile...

I wonder what you could have run with a more conservative 15 or 16 inch wheel.

with more rubber perhaps...and if the 17 tire is larger in diameter than a 16 or 15 then that would slow your times too. Smaller diameter tire is like a higher numerical gear...better for acceleration.

yeah i can tell that a lost some power with my 17's. im thinking of geting a set of 15 rotas and putting drag radials on em. and use em just for track days.

just 2 wheels. just the front 2

you might wanna invest in mounts as well to prevent any wheel hop

the 17s are killing you. adding so much rotating mass to a car that's gonna be dragged is asking for a slow time. i read somewhere that even though they may only be a few lbs heavier that because they rotate each extra LB is worth like 50 to the car. think he was talking out his ass but it could make sense.

you also need a nice 2.4 mani to go with that intake. oh and a catback.

yeah i wish i still had my 15 steelies. im just going to go to a junk yard and pick up 2 and put some Drag radials on em. and also. i got my catback on the way. mandrel bent, borla muff with 18" magnflow res, 2.5 piping. and im goiong to be getting rid of the LSJ ex mani. and getting a shorty header, and yeah man i wanna get the 2.4 mani. but it will be a waste of money when i get all my parts for my s/c build.
