crate engine depot is one of the best supporting vendors on this site. do a little bit of research and youll see. excellent customer service topped with great prices and product selection is an ACE in my book. The pulley however is from JBP. CED just sells them on the site.

look around for "md pulley guy" or something like that... he's in the process of making a crank and alt pully for about 1/6 the price...

id preffer a lightweight harmonic balancer over the alt pulley, alt pulley is only so heave, rather get rid of a greater weight

They claim around 5-7 WHP if you do the Crank and the Alt. Pulley together
I have known many owners that have done lightweight pulleys and all said they got 5 HP

I think I was reading somewhere for every pound you save off the crank you net 3hp and 1.5 torque. dont know how true it is but i was reading it on a forum not too long ago.

$210 for Both Crank and Alt. Pulley is a really good price
That's the lowest costing performance mod on my list so far.
Even My OBX Header was $240 and all I got from that was 5-6 Hp

Hmmm yeah that sounds pretty accurate

-GM Stock Crank Weight: 57.04 Oz.

-MD's Lightweight Crank Pulley: 28.40 Oz.

28.64 oz. or 1.79 lbs. less weight on the crank pulley
1.79 lbs. X 3 Hp = 5.37 Horsepower Gain

And don't forget he also has the alternator pulleys

Stock Alternator Pulley Weight: 6.34 Ounces
Manufactured Alternator 3.00 Ounces

PS: I'm not a salesman for MD-HHR just trying to help figure out the Hp gains like everyone else is

But at what cost? Are there any downsides to switching to lighter pullies?
