Bluebalt1113's Supercharger build

Hey everyone starting this build. I am in the next two weeks purchasing a full kit or anything close to the full kit. I will be posting my progress of this build. I was going to do turbo but im not trying to invest that much money when I am purchasing a new car next year. I will be giving this to my nephew as a first car so it stays in the family. My question is to you guys is how much boost can I run on my stock block. My block only has 48k on it due to a new motor being put in it through warranty cause of a bad motor. I have a freshly done not even two month old redone head with new valves and 78lb valve springs and retainer kit. So with this how much boost can I hold safely. and if anyone has any input please feel free to leave some help here. if you try to troll just don't and GTFO. well here's some pictures of the car.

Would have only been a weekend but I had several major issues. O-rings on the laminova cores were jacked. Fried a pcm due to a short. Then tuning issues. Mine was certainly not typical.

My car is hitting 12lbs on a 3.1 but people have run down to a 2.9 with no problems. As for tuning, I ended up using Trifecta although when I finally retune I want to flash back to stock and go with HPT.

But BlueBalt, as long as no one has tried to swap cores around you shouldn't have any problems there. Just make sure when you fit the intake Mani that you watch for clearance on the starter wires. That's where I got my short from.

Well a 3.1 is about 12 so I'd guess more than that and possibly more than 15. Someone who has a 2.9 can chime in though and tell you for sure.

No one can really tell you this.

Things like elevation, temp, and modifications can all alter boost levels....

For example.... a 2.9 car with full exhaust will have a lower boost level vs. a 2.9 car with stock exhaust.

I would pick up a stock lsj heat exchanger and mount it in front of your radiator. Not too sure if that'd cause overheating from bot getting as much air to radiator but I dont think it should...also I'd upgrade exhaust if you havent already before pullying down to relieve some of that backpressure and make power a bit safer.
