Bought my downpipe/exhaust...
for us, i think the LSJ is perfect, but i am no guru of GM parts. It is however very hard to find someone that will sell you their LSJ downpipe. Hopefully in the near future i will have mine on, to accompany my 2.5 magnaflow catback.
well the napa guys next to my shop are making my exhaust today, and I just put my header on lastnight so at lunch I'll ride around a bit, O yea dont know if I said it or not but I'm having them run 2.5 from cat no res. to stock muffler, I'm still not sure which muffler I want but I want to keep it low and quite.

UPDATE: So I got the downpipe installed and for now it's just bolted up to my factory catback. Like I said there was a major exhaust leak in the factory flex pipe and my engine was running so shitty so I had to do something. It turns out that the factory flexpipe completely broke all the way around except for about an inch or so.
Now I busted one of those damn studs that are on the 3 bolt side of the exhaust manifold... So now I gotta take the manifold off and drill it out. Anybody have any advice on doing this?

i have the same setup on my car, accept i bought the system from magnaflow and the dp for zzp. its going to be really deep and rumble kinda. but it wasnt loud enough so i gutted my muffler and welded it back in. sounds amazing!
Well I finally installed everything. I love the sound. Definitely isn't too loud but when it's wide open it screams. Not even a "rice" type of scream but almost like a V6 I wanna say.
A few problems so far:
- The ZZP downpipe only has one O2 bung. After taking everything apart, I realized that I have two O2 sensors. For now, I have the one after the cat connected, but I disconnected the one before the cat. It's running kinda shitty, so I gotta figure that out.
- I busted a stud on the exhaust manifold when I was removing the old downpipe. I plan on drilling it out and replacing it with a high grade bolt. (hopefully this weekend)
Other then that stuff, it's great. I definitely lost a lot of low end power but higher up seems to be improved, which is okay with me.

run the o2 sensor before the cat. the one after the cat only checks to make sure your cat is working...its the one before the cat that determines AFR, so plug it in!
most exhaust shops can weld in an o2 bung for like $25 btw.

Ugh ****. Well I have access to a MIG wirefeed at school...so I may do it myself. I'll buy the bung. And then I just drill the hole and weld it, right?
if its the wideband bung, the best position for it, it looking directly at the pipe,
between 10pm and 2pm are the best angles to do it, avoid anything on the sides or direct button as moisture likes to build up there

Sweet. If I would've known this I could have just paid $10 more to ZZP and added a wideband bung, but whatever.
So I'll just do that....
Any idea on local places that might have the bung? I went to Checker and they told me only NAPA would have it.
