In the process of doing a balance shaft delete on two motors actually.

My question is would an angle grinder with a cut wheel be strong enough to cut through the shaft so I can use the sprockets?

I already have an angle grinder and cut wheels, so if I don't have to order sprockets that would be great.

 

yea it should cut through it ok, just make sure you clean up the cut with a flap wheel afterwards.

What method are you using to plug oil galleys?

 

Ordered a thing from a facebook member to push the stock bearing back to cover the oil galley.
used the plugs on my last motor and they were kinda annoying to get in.
