don't cheap out on your air filter. that's what stops things from getting into your engine. suppose it falls apart, and you start sucking things into your engine. are you going to look back and think how happy you were you saved that 20-30 dollars? If you're going to do it, do it right. If you can't afford a quality filter, don't put the intake on until you can.

You could put any filter on it that fits. I have an AEM Dryflow on mine. i would go with a brand name honestly.

Just bring the intake in to the parts store and they will find a filter that fits for you.

get a dry flow. oiled filters aren't very good. the oil slowly gets sucked in and gets on your maf sensor and then it wont read correctly

You have a car worth thousands of dollars, don't cheap out on an air filter. It keeps all the crud out of your pretty engine.

its not the structural integrity of the filter us big name company fanbois are worried about. it the actual filtration of the no name vs. the respectable companies.

we're worried about the function of the filter that you can't see at all, and how much **** it keeps from your engine.

that being said, i would never put no name on the end of my intake. mostly for the piece of mind that knowing i have a decent filter brings me.

i have a spectre filter and it's working good actually. I may later on in the future change it to a k&N but the spectre ones are good.

Agreed, it wasn't more than a week ago, a member on here installed a cheap filter on his/her Injen intake and was getting a CEL... Then that member purchased a Injen filter, and the CEL went away...

Only true if you over oil the filter.
