Hey guys im new to this website and i wanted to know what exhaust is better (in sound and performance) i am leaning towards a magnaflow but want other peoples opinions. i have looked into the dc sports catback and some others and i need to decide either a magnaflow or the dc sports. if any one has a sound clip or a video clip of their 2.2l with the magnaflow could you pm me or email the video?

As much effort it took you to type this, you could have helped him out with a valid answer.

Wdsoccer, no one cat-back is going to outporm another cat-back system...unless the piping is badly bent (which I doubt coming from a company). Sound difference all depends on size the exhaust system is, if it has a resonator and what kind of muffler(s) they use.

Basically, it doesn't really matter what cat-back system you get as far as performance, but sound is another thing.

 

I have the Gmmp performance catback(made by borla) and it is pretty deep toned, the sound resonates from front to exit, it is pretty aggressive.

 

so the performance is basically the same on all the catback systems? does magnaflow sound good on a 2.2?

 

That depends on what you like. Personally I hate the sound of the Magnaflow and the Flowmaster exhuasts, but others love them.

 

i love my pacesetter. most people dog on it but i saved like $300-400 so i'm laughing too. lol it sounds good too.

 

Mike, do you have any sound clips of that? I'd be interested to hear how it sounds.

i have the magnaflow i might have a clip but its at home and im at work ill looks but the magnaflow site has clips although the real sound it deeper and no real rasp ive gotten compliments from guys with trucks saying it sounds good
