catch can

saw this online and thought that it couldnt hurt, figured I didnt want oil getting pushed/ sucked into my intake and on through with the valve and such...no no, so I bought one. took about 15 min to install cause i had to mount it, but looks good I think, was 25$ for the whole setup including hoses and clamps shipped!!

keeps oil/other containments from getting into the intake/and or motor.

I dont think is really that much of a big deal for engine life. If it was, all cars would come stock with one.

I can concur that this does work. Doesn't get a lot of oil, but enough that you don't want it going into your intake.

OMG you have an ebay intake. HOW DARE YOU.

J/K great setup man.

Do the bolts that held the stock air box just hammer out?

i have the home depot version on my car.

i have had it for over 6 months and it was full of oil about 2 months ago when i cleaned it. so it does work...

BTW. if you put some steel wool in the catch can they tend to work a little better.

Wow, can someone post up pics of their 2.2 catch can after some time period of use. I'd love to see how much oil this thing is catching.

I'd say I had about an ounce a month on my.

Filling it up in 2 months seems like a lot of oil to me.

The home depot trick I did is about 20 dollars. Seemed to work great. Easy to clean out

nice, mine was 25shipped and fully assembled lol, all i had to do was tap holes for hanging it and put the hose on there

and the most you will see will be because of oil overfill, my buddy was doing that cause he thought he needed more then he did (mult oil changes) and when we went to change is intake mani it had some oil all up in it

I've been 'burning' more oil than usual lately. Maybe some of it is getting pulled into my intake? I might pick one of these up.
