CEL on my car
ok, i got a 2006 cobalt ls and i put an AEM CAI on my car.. and just recently the CEL came on, and i went to auto zone and he plugged in the cpu and it said my car qwas running lean, which means too much o2 correct??? .... he cleared the code for me and than it came back on like 2 hours later, i was wondering if there was a way for me to make the car run a little more rich.. only b\c i dont wanna have a CEL when my car is up for inspection....
man oh man. they are going to eat this post up. Its the lean code u got. there is nothing u can do except get a GM reflash right now. U have to deal with it but nothing is wrong except the computer is getting alot of air.

basically hope it goes away when your car gets used of the new fuel map
clear the code by disconnecting the battery/or getting a reader (again not a fix but it might stay away if you are lucky like some other members)

I swear, they should make an intro page load everytime you log onto cobaltss.net that tells people to use the damn search button. I can't count how many posts are about that stupid lean code.

thanks alot guys, im gonna disconnect the battery tomorrow and see if that helps, but i have another question, does it haev anything to do with the extra hose from the airbox on the 2006 that goes into that little pump on the front of the block, b\c mine dosent have a filter on it i bought a small one to put there.. but tehre is nothing restricting that air, so could the computer have picked up that little bit of air flowing into the engine?
