Changed my oil today

Used Royal Purple. I cant feel any hp differences, but everything runs really smooth now, engine makes zero noise. My clutch even felt smoother, if that makes sense.

All I can say is that oil filter plug is a bitch and a half to take off. I guess you need the right tool. We didnt have a big enough socket, so we had to use pliers.

I think next time I am gonna use like castrol syntec, and see if its any different.

Ok, I was just gonna go on price. Looks like the synthetics are all $7.50 a quart. I think, If they are the same price, or like less than a dollar difference, I am just gonna keep using royal purple.

I had a feeling there wasnt going to be any Hp increases, but the engine sound and runs smooth. I think it even idles a little better too.

i dont even bother using synthetic oil. but i do make sure to change it every 3,000 miles no matter what.

i used to change the oil myself on my old ranger cuz i didnt have to hassle with jacking it up or rolling the car on ramps, but with this car i've always just had it done. maybe sometime soon ill get my ass to the store to buy a decent floor jack or a set of ramps. lol

i'll never use anything less then synthetic. i work at a lube shop. your engine won't run anywhere near as long or as smooth if you put conventional grade oil in it. i get a lot of customers that think it's alright even with the regular changes and that's not the case. conventional will leave behind deposit that will eventually build up and ruin your motor. yeah you may get some miles on it but your engine response and gas mileage will suffer greatly.

Why would you keep swapping different oil brands, pick one and stick with it.

I use Mobil1 exclusively, and change at 50% oil life(4200ish miles)

well realistically it prob frees up like 0.1 hp to be honest the lube factor of smoother moving parts its just so low u can't tell a diff haha...and as for oil changing...3500-4000..KM'S! roughly 2500 miles ..my engines an extremely happy engine

I used Castrol sysntec for my first oil change, but then switched to mobile 1 and am gonna stick to it.

It doesnt hurt the engine to stick to change oil brands, but still why do it? Stick to one.
