Question Cold Air intake with SAI . . .

I know this has been brought up and there is a sticky about this but i didnt feel like searching. Has anyone moddified an intake to work with the SAI? I have this unfortunate obstruction in my car and ive been thinking about buying an intake and drilling a hole in it to put tubing for the SAI into it. What do you think?

Or you could buy the K&N. That is the only one that works with SAI.

Well, here is what he wrote:

1st link:
CAI won't fit 2.2L

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Me and Kyle installed my intake yesterday and there ended up being this loose hose that we couldn't figure out where it goes into. Well it ends up being a SAI (Second Air Intake) that only my year had. I guess the only CAI that has the hookup for the hose is the K&N, so I have to return mine and wait for the new one to come in. It kind of sucks, but I don't want that hose just laying around. I want something that is going to fit the way it should. Here is a pic of the hose I am talking about.

2nd link:

K&N Typhoon Installed!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Thanks to Kyle my new K&N Intake is now installed. Everything fit perfectly, and I was finally breathing a sigh of relief knowing I wouldn't have to order another intake.

She sounds MEAN! This thing def. sucks more air in than the Fujita did, and the tube is beefy. I'll just have to buy another dry flow filter, since this one is most likely going to give me a cel.

I will post some pics up tomorrow, as well as a video with some sound for you guys to show you how mean it sounds. There is a video I will be posting as well with me and Kyle installing my Fujita intake ... and I think you guys will get a laugh out of it.
