Colorado's cant handle teh ecotec !!?!?!?!

My brothers friends silverado was in the shop, so they gave him a 3.5L I-5 Colorado as a rental. So we were out bowling, and on the way home. He was trying to mess with me and so on. So im doing about 40ish and he's behind me and he comes up quick and tries to pass me, so i downshift to 2nd and let'er rip. I instantly catch pace with him and we stay pretty even until i upshift and slowly, very slowly walk on him. So were going down the road again and catch a red light. He starts revving at me and the light turns green, i take off normally while he puts his back in drive. I wait for him to catch up, he does and were doing about 10, and we both punch it, i put about a car length on him in 1st, another in 2nd, and another and some more in 3rd, so i shut down around 85ish. Thats what happened, he was all stock, im all stock except for a magnaflow muffler with tip. I guess let the flaming begin on how i am teh suck...

Colorados are pretty gutless. Odd ball 5cly engine does not have tons of power ot torque considering the weight.

GM should have crammed the 4.2L 291hp I6 in there. I have heard a newer 3.7L version is coming.

So good thing you won, although I am not surprised.

Yeah man, we wondered the same thing at my dealership. So we measured a trailblazer's engine and it doesnt fit in the colorado's unfornately. It'd be a nice truck it would fit, althought they do have ls1/ls2 style conversion kits available to throw in a colorado.

yea that sure would be nice. Rksport has a s/c for it and i frgot what company is working on a turbo but no one seems interested in makin a tuner for it so yea kinda sucks. turbonetics is making a turbo for the h3 so a lot of colorado owners are hoping that they are next in line i guess time will tell
