DC sports header

Anyone know of or actually have this header? I have heard that the new CA header is not going to work for the 2.2 because the collector is too large, causing the powerband to shift way high. But this header seems to have a smaller collector, any info???

Personally I hate ceramic coated Mild steel headers
Save your $$$ and get a real stainless steel header that will last or spend double the $$$ to have the rusted header removed and replaced 2 years later

I've heard that they'll work great for the 2.0 and 2.4's but not the 2.2's becuase the collector is way to big

I've got some friends they say they don't like the metal used by DC. Their Strut bars apparently break a lot, but I don't know much about it....

CA v1 header= 2.25" collector, which isn't too big for a 2.2. Hell, my best friend's Scion xA uses a header w/ a collector that big, and that's a 1.5 liter engine, lol.

The DC Sports header has a 2" collector, which will work just as well.

Just saying that 2.25" isn't too big for a 2.2.

Owell, at least you 2.2 guys are sensible. There's a bunch of 2.4 guys running headers w/ 3" collectors, lol. Ovvvverkillllll!!!!

not really overkill but it does shift your band.. my zzp combo seems to have given me some nice gains but i can't tell till i hit the dyno.. i get some strnog pull from 3K on and my tires will randomly break loose.

but no 2.25 it's too much for 2.2s however i dont know what the new size collector is for the CA. 2.2s are god for up to 2.5 but anything above that it's going to really affect your scavenging and such

Yes I think the CA Header V2 is going to be a 2.8 inch collector

Well my roomates '06 325whp STI uses 3" exhaust components, so I'm pretty sure my 2.4SS dosent need anything bigger than 2.5". A 3" collector on our car might help out the super high part of your powerband, but a header like the CA v1 header will give you a nice, even powerband with gains throughout the entire band.
