explain to me what u mean o2 loop, never heard of it...u mean closed or open loop? as far as HTP, they dotn work for 2.2's, if your a 07+than you can use Ls2edit, 05-06 can only be tuned by trifecta(or garret/hahn tune for their turbo kit)

p.s. u wanna run in open loop constantly unplug ur first o2 sensor, will throw a CEL but it will run in a open loop, besides that any other time it will be open is when the car is first turned on, after that it will switch over to closed

Closed loop = always runs at 14.7:1 AFR. Car switches to open loop after 5 seconds of WOT.

You have an 07, go with LS2Edit.

You can do a little o2 feedback tuning with a piggyback, but thats it. Basically trick the ECM into thinking the cars running leaner, so it adds fuel to get back to 14.7:1. Not very reliable though.

I know it works with HPT, not sure with LS2Edit though, or Trifecta.

until you go wot for 5 or more seconds...then it kicks to open loop...its called power enrichment delay...its part of what vince tunes for

edit...didnt read...already posted lol

mine runs in open loop as well, makes EVERYTHING better on this car , better idle, smoothing while cruising, better acceleration...its great lol

and about emissions, yes. all they do is plug in a code reader...you dont through codes you pass....if the codes arnt there they cant be thrown

You cant run open loop without tuning or setting DTC/MIL

The only way to get rid of a P0420 is to have a functioning emulator, or get a tune.

The only way to run open loop without setting DTCs is with a tune

Yes he is right
They are also looking that all the ODB2 engine monitors are "ready" meaning that they have completed their diagnostics tests while you were driving. However if they do the tailpipe test your out of luck
I had stg.1 cams and I would have passed the test since I had all monitors ready after driving for about 1.5 months. The damn Evaporative Systems monitor takes forever to set
