Throttle body question...

Quick question for someone that might know... is the electronic throttle body the same for the supercharged engines as it is for the non-supercharged ecotec engines?

The 2.0, 2.2, and 2.4 engines all have different TB's.

The supercharger 2.0 TB is diff. But the 2.2 and 2.4 cant be that far off, if your able to but a 2.4 TB/Intake Manifold on a 2.2 LS

I'm pretty sure that the L61 has a 60mm TB and the LE5 has a 65mm TB.

The kits come with an adapter plate for it to work.

Im fairly certain the 2.2, 2.4 and 2.0 all have different bolt patterns on the TB with the LSJ and LS4 sharing the same pattern but with different plate diameters.

Correct. Thats why i was telling the guy above the 2.4 manifold kit for the 2.2 requires an adapter plate.

you dont need the adaptor for the 2.4 manifold swap onto a 2.2.

it is a different bolt pattern but the 2.2 throttle body has the extra bolt hole that is required for the 2.4 manifold.

the kit from CED is extra, all you need is the manifold, manifold to engine gaskets and throttle body gasket

For the 05-06 2.2's you do.

does anyone here have a 2.4L throttle body removed right now that they could take a picture of the backside of it (flush side that mates to intake manifold), and then give me an EXACT dimension of the throttle port (preferred that a dial caliper is used to measure)? If anyone could do that it would be appreciated x121021939242 times!

i sent yuou a PM and i have one of the adapter plates i coudl send you if you like, i couldnt find a ruler, but if you had the adapter you can pretty much measure it user self, heres a pic of it, gimme like 5 bucks to cover shipping and ill send this thing out to ya(ps the one ill send it the one in my gallery with the broken hole thing, still usable if you only wanna make sure it lines up right), i also have a stock 2.2l cable drivem thottle body not doing anything, the bolts on it line up the way the pics shows, doesnt have 5 holes, just the 4 normal ones most of the 2.2's came with, you can use the adapter to cover the 2.4 TB specs u need, and the 2.2 TB to cover the 2.2, also you will need a place for the MAP sensor to go at, the MAP sensor on the 2.2 and 2.4 are the same shape, i have a spare MAP sensor aswell

^^^all 2.2's follow that bolt pattern, and some of the newer ones came like pictured above, with the 5 hoel bolt pattern but the original 4 are still the ones that are used, so basivcally the TB bolt pattern i posted here above this text will work for all 2.2 TB's, for the 2.4 see below VVVVVVVV

^^^^^^ shown as it would sit in engine with stock manifold, the top of the pic faces to the back of the car, the bottom of the pic faces the front of the car, i guess the way ur manifold is set up, the top of the pic will face upwards, and the bottom of the pic will face downwards

there you i labeled which ones are for what TB, some of the 2.2 TBs came with all 5 of those bolts, but only ever use 4 of them, mine came with all 5 of those, and i was using the way i labeled, and when i got my 2.4 manifold install, all i had to do was move that top bolt down to the one below it

Ok that will work perfect! I have the bolt pattern for the 2.2L cable driven so i can just adjust the print as needed for the 2.4L

Is the 2.4L throttle body the same on the solstice?

Also let me get this right.. is there for 4 or 5 different throttle bodies? I made a list of 5 correct me if im wrong:

2.2L Cable driven
2.2L Electronic
2.4L Electronic
2.0L Electronic Supercharged
2.0L Electronic Turbocharged

Those are all different right?

Would you guys be able to put in injector ports into the intake runners? If so how much extra would you charge, because i really do like that price.
