Downpipe

Would a SS/SC dowpipe be worth it on the 2007 LS?
I know the headers are the same, is the downpipe also?

What size is is the 07 LS dowpipe? What size is the SS/SC dowpipe? Thanks

If i was gonna get it, i was gonna bash the cat out. Make it high flow myself. haha

Nope the downpipes aren't the same. The main difference in the two pipes is the outlets; the ss is huge in comparison to the L61's. But i felt a little difference, especially in the top end. Being an 07 you will need to have an o2 sensor welded in befor the cat. Also i think i read that the cat on the LSJ's is already a high flow unit??? Anyone correct me if i am wrong.

the LSJ downpipe is not a high flow cat.

The LSJ downpipe is like a quarter or half in bigger in diameter.

Decent upgrade, but aftermarket will net more gains

just swapping out the downpipe, and especially if you are going to ram out the cat, will sound like absolute ****. so not worth it in my opinion. it's going to sound like a million angry bees, inside a tin can.

i would recommend the zzp header/downpipe, great combo. plus, they're having a group buy right now, so you can get some kick ass pricing.

Well i'd say 2.5 inch exhaust is what you want.

So ZZP DP and header combo with a 2.5" exhaust is about right.

the cat back isnt included in the group buy header/dp combo, its optional to get 25% off to the header/dp combo group buy individuals....but the group buy for zzp midlength header/dp is great...like i said we are at 10% and close to gettin 18% off the combo..25$ deposit required to get in the group buy thats all

Yes the ZZP Stainless Downpipe will bolt up to your stock Exhaust Manifold.

Yea, the Downpipe will bolt right up, but, right now, we are at 18% off the Header/DP combo, so it is worth it to just get the whole combo now instead of just a downpipe.

I thought the ZZP was a midlength header. If I am wrong, please correct me, but doesn't that mean that the downpipe is shorter than the stock one?

Yes it's a mid-lenght
The Mid-lenght header and Downpipe combo that ZZP offers must remain together and are not compatible separately with the OEM manifold and downpipe but ZZP also sells stainless 2.5" and 3" Downpipes that are meant for use with the Stock Exhaust Manifold or a shorty bolt-on header like the CA V1, ScDyne, DC Sports.........

They also have 25% off the 3" cat-back if you are in with the GB. Its a good deal. And it looks like Pacific Cobalt answered your question.

I heard that the lsj downpipe might not fit on the 07 near the axle.
any good links to just the downpipe with a high flow cat? i couldnt do the GB with ZZP cause we started to get new stuff for our house we are looking to get in september.

what are our primaries on the header? zzp was offering 1.5", since ours is teh same as teh lsj, wouldnt ours be around 1.5''? or zzp better cause mid-length?

i dont want a CA dp cause expensive, but i want something lil more better than the stock lsj dp, want are my options?

thanks

I cant realy tell if theres a gain yet cause i dont have 2nd gear it grinds then pops it out so i just go right to third so i cant get on it like i want to ill let you know when i get it fixed if the dealer will even cover it.but when my rpms are up in third it feels a lil quicker but that just might be me use to it being so slow while the rpms are climbing.
