Agreed!

I am in no way trying to be a dick, but let me critique your parts for a second.

Tsudo catback: I like it, 2.5" piping, good quality
CTI DP: 3", correct me if I am wrong. Too big for a 2.2
JBP: Just look

That header is a ******* joke. Sorry man.

if a cheaper route is better/equal/98% as effective and reliable as the most expensive route then you'd be an idiot to spend more.

as an example, I bought the base cobalt w/o power windows etc. $11,200 brand new. I CHEAPED out. Yet here I am with a stereo that sounds absolutely amazing, electronic capabilities which are waaaayyyy ahead of the curve with open ended expansion functionality, and will soon be fully bolted(having only spent $1000 or less on all bolt-on parts), and fully painted mirrors which what only 2 other Cobalts have. ALL THIS combined, and I still haven't cleared the price of a stock Cobalt LT of my year. Talk about REAL value.

so as the example shows, i'm definitely not a overall cheap ass nor do i "just throw **** on the car" but instead go through VERY calculated steps when i do things.

that all said, unless Clear Image is ready to offer $80-100 off their new DP's, I don't see the point in spending an $80 premium I just can't see. that also said, I'd buy used Clear Image equipment due to the lowered price point.
It is a cheaper route, you ARE correct, okay. However, you're going to be the **** complaining when the piece of **** falls off of your car because the welds look like they were done by a ******* preschooler with gorilla glue. You get what you pay for, in terms of product quality, and customer satisfaction. Hands down.

Okay, I paid $12,200 and some odd change, for my 2008, very close to you. Brand new, 1 mile on it, straight from the assembly line. No power anything. I got upgraded locks and windows for convenience. I also have painted mirrors, which was done by a local paint shop.

The point in the way it is priced for the DP I purchases was as follows:

Stainless steel
Ceramic coated
High flow METALLIC core cat
IT IS MACHINED IN HOUSE. From the welds to the bend. The entire thing.

I paid for just a LITTLE more than the average DP.
