I own 2006 2.2L Cobalt. I just got my GMPP Performance exhaust installed about 3 weeks ago, and im looking for a good dp that will gain me a lil more power and a louder sound. Would this dp work for me? It says it wont but i just asking around. If anyone has a good type or brand that i should look into please post the link to the site. Thanks

hey man i got the same one on my 2.4l and it works great so.. loud wowyou might want to swap out the header but good choice

 

I don't see any reason why it wouldn't work in a 2.2

Exhaust parts are completely interchangeable between all the trim levels of the Cobalt so far as I know.


They probably didn't install it on a 2.2 so they aren't making the claim.

 

Ok thanks guy. Just asking before i purchase and have to ship it back. lol if you know what i mean. Cuz on there site it has in the bottom in red lettering only for the 2.0 and 2.4L so im curious if they are typo's or what not. What site did you buy your Vibrant header and dp from? also thanks

 

i have the zzp header dp combo .. it's mellow and a bit louder then stock.. as it breaks in it's mellowing/ getting deeper that might be something for you to check into. I still have 200 miles till i'm done breaking it in but i like it so far

 

I got the Vibrant from Cobalt Performance Parts during the infamous Vibrant Group Buy. lol (Vibrant had to redesign the downpipe, so it took us 4 months to get the combo to us)
