you don't have a solid suspension setup yet if you're still on lowering springs with stock struts

ditch that for a coilover setup and if you can get it dialed in right then you'll be in business.

eventually... im going bang for the $$$ at the moment with springs. I will eventually get coilovers. I plan on moving away from RI within a year or so and back to NY where driveways arent as steep and roads in my area are better. I'll be able to ride lower and keep a better setup

not to mention, moving back home and getting an 80k job and no longer having to pay rent will leave lots of extra cash for my balt

I'd say you're still not done. Add add add. You've already put yourself into STS with the bars and I believe the springs as well. Don't start adding power until you have coilovers. You would be AMAZED at the difference being able to balance the cornerweights makes.

Also new control arms. Tranny mount, CABs. Go into the rulebook and see what suspension mods are allowed in STS. That's what class Josh ran. There were times when he would win by 3+ seconds. He had intake and exhaust, but the creme de la creme wasn't what was under the hood, it was under the car. He had a racing suspension shipped over from Japan, coilovers, every possible thing he could have done to the car. I drove it before and have NO DOUBTS it would rape and pilliage my SS/SC. Civic = 67whp SS/SC = 217whp. Less than 1/3 the power, handled like driving a go-kart. You could do an entire course without the thought of lifting once.

Keep in mind, power wise you can only go with what the rules for your class allow. If you start letting yourself get caught into things that bump you up, you've just lost ALL chances of being competitive.

Also, if you haven't already, do an evo school. Auto-x is 90% driver, 10% car.

Just do like I said, stick with the rulebook and keep youself in a competitive class.

I know this is an old thread but I thought Id share my numbers from my g tech.

From 3 runs I got an average of 123 HP @ 5346 rpm and 138 FtLbs @ 4340 rpm

And orng I see why you thought I was sarcastic. I meant to direct that to the thread author. For some reason I thought you were the one who posted the dyno numbers haha. oops.

It's not wothless if you know how to use it correctly and what you can use it for. obviously a dyno is going to give much better results.

you consider 123hp stock ego building? if that's the case the g-tech should give me, like, god status numbers, right?

123HP is actually a pretty close # for a bone stock 2.2...I wouldn't be surprised if an actual dyno was within a few HP of that.
