Yes, you will have to take out your headlight to install the intake.

For mine I think it felt like a lot because it was like 10 degrees outside and yeah the stock airbox is restrictive as hell. I already had the exhaust done on the car so it made my exhuast louder too.

It's an intake so obviously you won't see tremendous gains, but you can definately feel a diference.

What size filter is needed for replacement.. 2.5" or 2.25" Inlet? I'm getting the dryflow with a hydroshield probably.

yeah its not a bad deal at all.. its well worth it and sounds great.. i just need to get me a 2.4 mani and a full exhaust now to take more advantage of the extra air.. and i need to get a hydro shield to cover it up a lil cuz i end up goin through water pockets every time it rains..

They are, haha.

If you submerge your car enough to hydrolock it, you're going to have way more problems than just a hydrolocked engine

well its a type of micro fiber cloth that helps prevent water from gettin into the filter. i've never used one but i've had alot of others recomend it though..

Water in your engine isn't gonna do a whole lot other than make your car run shitty for a little while.

Unless you completely submerge your filter

lol that would be very true... but where the filter is with this cai its kinda more septible to gettin water splashed on it and i think the hydro shield would help it out some..

i have been runnin mine with out a hydro shield for this long though and its been rainin here pretty often and havent had any problems yet so maybe i'll just forget bout gettin the thing all toghether..

12-16 inches, maybe more.

But you have to understand that even if you're driving through deep water it's gotta get in from behind the bumper, the filter is completely enclosed.

Your front bumper acts as a plow and keeps most of the water away.

I've submerged my entire front end up to the chevy symbol with an Injen CAI

Well when it comes to deep water, as long as you're moving at a good rate of speed you're usually set
