emissions warranty

Could really use some help. I've got a 2007 Cobalt LS with 48k, 2nd owner. I've got a cracked down pipe, more specifically the flex-tube. I lost my warranty paperwork, but from my understanding, this should be covered under the emissions warranty, correct? Can somebody provide me with a good link stating this if it is the case? I just called my local chevy dealer and was told it isn't covered, which I don't believe to be true, so it looks like I'm going to have to prove my case.

Thanks a ton in advance.

its a government mandated waranty so you should be good if they tell you otherwise change dealers.

Things may be a little different in the U.S but here in Canada the only part of the exhaust that is covered by the emissions warranty is the converter. I have seen a couple instances where we have put through a warranty claim if the flex pipe is only serviced as part of the converter but it's not the norm.
