Could be a million different things. Anytime that happens, a quick cure is to just turn it off and restart it.

BUT, to find out the problem, you'll need to go to an Autozone or Advance Auto Parts store and get them to read you CEL. That should tell you the problem. Happened to me once, and I believe I had a broken "Supercharger Intake Pressure Sensor".

This is a HUGE question.

Some helpful hints......

1. Get the ECM scanned to see what the trouble code is that set the CEL.
2. Post back what the code is and then maybe someone can help you.
3. How many miles are on the car? What year? What EXACTLY were you doing before you got the CEL? Any Mods that arnt in your sig?

At 28k miles... just call GM Roadside Assistance or your local Dealership and have them come pick up the car from your house. GM Roadside Assistance is free while under warranty. Phone number should be on your driver's side rear window.
