If they can do that... they can probably change the RPO's to eliminate SAI as well.
They tune everything you need tuned, and the one time cost is 475, plus shippin. Not sure about the SAI though.

right, its not hard to be "knowlegable" on simple bolt ons or plug n play things, somtimes you gotta think outside the box a bit

if i wasnt saving my $ for somthing faster and more fun ( a motorcycle) id prove it

Rather, contact SCT - the guys that already DID tuning for the 2.2 05-06 cobalt, and tell them you're anxious for the power programmer for the e16a and other years! that's MUCH more likely to get some results! Also, contact DiabloSport - another tuner that's been talking about supporting us and recently dove into the ecotec plaform as well!

SCT thread, poll: http://www.sctflash.com/forum/showthread.php?t=7575
Diablo thread, poll: http://www.diablosport.com/index.php...c31c9ca1346dfa

Everytime I've contacted HPT they have said 2.2 is a possibility for the future, they never entirely ruled it out. Nothing wrong with trying for SCT and Diablo as well, but it's not like contacting HPT is going to hurt anyone, all it'd take is a few seconds of time, what do we have to lose?

There are many piggybacks out there that have been around for YEARS. they are very reliable. The thing is you just have to pick the right one for your application. You know there are plenty of other boosted cars out there that dont have tuning software like HPTuners. Its funny how so many people complain about tuning when its right in front of you.

I still dont believe that this shop in texas has a version of HPTuners that works with the e16a when HPTuners has even said they will not be supporting it in any resent releases. Give me the number, ill call them. Ill even record the conversation =P

I dont see 05-06 2.2's on this list. Looks to me like the HPTuners application list.

97-05 Chevy Cavalier 2.2, 2.4
05-07 Chevy Cobalt 2.0, 2.4
97-05 Pontiac Sunfire 2.2, 2.4
07 Pontiac G5 2.4
06-07 Pontiac Solstice 2.4 (Automatic Not Supported)
97-05 Pontiac Grand Am 2.2, 2.4
06-07 Pontiac G6 2.4
99-04 Oldsmobile Alero 2.2, 2.4
07 Saturn Sky 2.4 (Automatic Not Supported)
04-07 Saturn ION 2.0, 2.4

Ok, i sent them an email since its hard to remember to do stuff after work. im usually dead tired and dont care to do much of anything while im working manditory overtime....

Subject: 05-06 Chevy Cobalt 2.2 e16a tuning

Body:

Hey Allen,

I have a couple questions for you regarding the e16a ECU that’s found in the 05-06 Chevy Cobalt 2.2 Ecotec's. The reason im contacting you is because there was a member of the cobaltss.net forums that had claimed he is having his 05-06 cobalt tuned by you guys. I looked on your vehicle application list and there is nothing about the 05-06 cobalt 2.2. Now he claims you guys have told him you can tune his ECM and BCM. The reason I ask is because currently there is no support from HPTuners for the e16a and was told there wont be in any recent software releases. Now, if you guys can tune for the E16a, could you inform me on how you are doing this. This information would greatly help out the cobalt community. Thanks for all your help.

Duane Pugh

Ill keep you posted on the reply...

Sway, they've said repeatedly that they aren't going to work on the 05-06 computers
