ETA For 2.2 Tuning???
hell, there's no tuning cause noone sticks to the 2.2, they start out wanting to then end up buying a ss/sc or a different car cause they're tired of waiting lol.
If GM releases the 2.0 turbo(articles said 2008, solstice motor) then there will be less interest in the 2.2's and more interest in getting that car.
Hell, i know i would be more interested in buying a car with 260whp thats stock....

if you 2.2's wanna tune, go get the AEM unit, AEM is a dependable company, one of the biggest aftermarket companys there is. they have there own forums to help you out along the way...it has everything you need...so either put up or shut up
the part that was not understood was that i didn't read that part and only read what he replied to my question and dont worrie i already deleted the post. sry pple make mistakes at least i corrected the problem
what about fuel cutoff for the rev limiter and governor? can megasquirt alter these? if so I might as well look into Megasquirt as well since it seems to be the only reason solution at this point. As if I was expecting anything different anyway driving a Saturn
if you use the MS as a fuel only standalone then you may have a rev limiter cause im not sure if it cuts spark.
but you can use the ms to set rev limiters using a fuel cut so the ms can cut fuel at certain rpms.
it's just a standalone dude. the stock ecu won't control what the ms will control
example if you use the ms for fuel, the stock computer cannot control any fuel settings because it's not connect to it anymore.
well depends.

As far as speed limiter, because you guys have a electronic throttle body, I don't know if the computer tries to use that to slow you down.
You could literally take out your stock computer and wire the sensors that you want to use through megasquirt. Thing about megasquirt is that it's a very open sourced and evolving unit to use. People are constantly coming up with different ways to use it.
I have a friend with a Fiero with an ECOTEC swap who is using the Megasquirt as a full standalone to control everything he needs.
Only issue is that this isn't street legal for the most part.

the only thing about using megasquirt is you WILL throw codes. Whatever you have the megasquirt control, the stock computer won't be connected to it anymore, so you won't pass emissions if you use the megasquirt.
oh okay that makes sense because I want cams!! i need to fix my power delivery
Elvis you need to hurry up and get to AZ, I'm terrified of wiring this junk together
but looks like I've got about 935933 worth of pages to read through...

You should go to www.rs-autosport.com. He sells pre-built megasquirt units and pre-made wire harnesses. All the wires are individually labeled and it makes it 100x easier to install.
