everything needed for SS s/c

my friend has a 2.2 cobalt and I just looked at the sticky and seen that the SS s/c bolts up. But what all do you need other than just the s/c. Does it come with an intercooler?
What all do you need for the swap and will a chevy dealer be able to sell this complete swap or is there another place that sells it all for a good price or is there anyone on here selling theirs?

there is a how to in the how to section for a s/c swap. no the chevy dealer wont have anything for you, and doing this would definitely void your warranty. you'll have to find a member selling all the parts and peice the kit together yourself though, unless there is a kit out there that i dont know about.

First off, welcome.

Secondly, get your flame suit on because the "Search Button Police" will be here soon.

look in the forums under Classified/Parts... lots of people doing turbo swaps or upgrades superchargers are seelling there complete stock setup with everything you would need.... and after that would need to get it tuned for the supercharger.

yea well on other forums I know the seach function isn't to good so i don't even mess with it.

and yes I know he needs a tune. I just wanted to know the major and minor things needed for the swap.

yea I can't find anything in the search and I went into the how-to's and looked 7 pages and didn't see anything. So does anyone know exactly where it is or how and what it needs?

There is a how to for the 2.4L. It's basically the same thing except for the tuning of course.

Otherwise all the parts needed are the same.

Isn't Yellowshowbalt selling his 2.2 supercharger Kit?
Not sure if it's been sold to someone but have a look in the classified section

you don't need the lsj alternator but you do need the bracket and the bolts that hold the alternator in because they are longer.. if you have any questions i will be glad to help you and mine is still up and running fine

either way its going to be expensive, and a long process... the best bet would to use the how to as much as possible... also make sure you/he has a second car available to drive, this is no job for 1 day... a weekend maybe, but plan on longer then that... i think the best way to to this would be to get a part and put it on, get another put it on... and so on. We ran into a few problems when we tried to SC my buddies car, and eventually canned the build due to funds and lack of time...

we planned a weekend build with limited money, he was missing a few odds and ends, and didn't really have enough cash to get what he needed as soon as we needed it. We most likely could have done the build in three days if he had the cash for it.

Right now the only tuning for the 2.2 is a tune through clear image if i'm not mistaken... there is a thread that will tell you everything you need to know about it.

MAKE SURE YOU HAVE TIME AND MONEY is pretty much what it comes down to...
