The reason I say that is because a buddy of mine had a LS & he put dual exhausts on & 1 tip/muffler was always bouncing, & they just hung there... It looked out of place.

I wouldn't buy a whole new rear bumper just for that, but there has to be another option, like a kip or something like that.

From my understanding now all Cobalts come with 2.5" OD pipe up to the over axle section which is 2.25" ID. Either way 2.25 inch or 2.5" and you'll be fine. If you aren't worried about HP gains pick the 2.25" (it's cheaper piping in most shops); if you plan on mods and want the most possible HP, then pick the 2.5" (usually upcharged in most shops).

I suggest Borla Exhaust, your better off getting the cat back exhaust from a dealer or what i did, buy the turbo muffler and get it custom piped it has an aggresive growl but not to loud all in the same, worth it.

borla > all

although, i must say the exhaust tip on their catback system just doesn't look quite right on a non-SS rear bumper.

Did you do just the muffler?

I am looking into getting just a new muffler and exhaust tip for my car. Looking for sound and appearance, could care less about increased HP.

If you could produce a sound clip that would be AWESOME.

Wait, CED told me the GMPP catback is 2.5".
Clarification please????

The SS OE systems are 2.5" OD except for the section over the axle that is 2.25" ID. I don't know what the over axle section is on GMPP.
