exhaust help
I'm pretty sure this is the wrong section to put it in, but I could not find a section where exhaust topics would go.
Anyway, I've had my car for two years and I decided to sort of cheat the whole exhaust system and just get a performance muffler for $20 on Ebay. Yeah, big mistake since that thing is super annoyingly loud and sounds like crap.
So, I went to my local Pepboys and asked if there was still an inexpensive way to replace my muffler alone to sound not as loud but still give me a little bit of an HP boost.
To sum it up, I don't want a whole exhaust system; I just simply want to replace the muffler and not have it with a loud raspy sound. Is there such a thing???
Thanks in advance.

hmmm, that's a good start. Never thought of that. Anything else? Magnaflow will probably be more on the expensive side, is there anything else more affordable?

Dynomax would be good if you want quiet at cruise but still good flow.

I tried to find some videos on dynomax mufflers, but I couldn't find a decent one. So I guess my only concern is that if they are too loud. I don't want a muffler that super loud even when I'm just driving slow.

ok last post about this from me..hopefully.
this is the muffler from Dynomax I'm thinking of getting..how is this one? Again, I don't really care much for HP gain, but I just want to know if sounds good, and I don't want to go back to stock. Mainly because I don't know where my stock muffler is... >.>

nope, not really.. i would say it sounds sorta stock, but deeper with a little more growl (not too much though).. at WOT it does give you something to listen to compared to stock, & for the price it was a win-win
