well check it out, my buddy has a 2.2 cavalier turbo. he recently bought a manifold for the 2.2 sabb's. well he said it will fit the cobalt 2.2 since it is the same. except all you have to do is drill a hole where one of the bolts will line up correctly. well if anybody knows or has tried it let me know cause it sounds interesting but need to know if it will work.....

 

Why??? If you want a better manifold simply get a used SS/SC manifold or even the GMPP extruded one which will bolt right up. Both are way better than a stock 2.2 manifold.

 

im guessing for a turbo but its useless w/o tuning.

 

i would just get the ss/sc manifold, if for no other reason ..its simpler

plus removing more meterial by drilling out the holes leaves it more vulnerable to cracking

 

I am confused too. Is it a turbo manifold that you are trying to use on your car? It would be pretty much useless to you if so.

 

sounds like you are talking about a saab intake manifold if you are referring to a Cavalier, a turbo and the fact that you have to tap a hole to install.

will do nothing for you if you are staying N/A

 

well my buddy said its for the turbo saab but just because its turbo doesnt mean it wont work. i will just probably go with the ss/sc manifold cause its true about drilling the hole. dont want to spend money on something thats just gonna f_up l8r down the road.

 

It won't work, you have to drill a hole to get it to attach, but you can't connect it to your downpipe, to the rest of the exhaust system. Its a Turbo flange, not a DP flange. And even if you did all the fab work to do that, you'd be cheaper and better off to get the SS/SC or a whole header DP combo.
