exhaust question

Hey I have vibrant header and dp with a magnaflow catback I had it for about 3 years and now its a little to loud for me. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on a quieter muffler I can get. I'm looking for something that's quiet but has a nice tone to it when I hit the gas. Thanks for the help.

No I don't think I have a resonator unless there's one on the vibrant dp but I doubt there is. Will that make a big difference in noise if I throw one on?

99% sure magnaflow has a resonator. Just head over to your local exhaust shop (i use Lou's Custom) and ask them to quiet it down. If you want the same tone, just add a resonator, if you want something different, add a flowmaster 10 series single chamber either in front or behind the resonator, it will SLIGHTLY quiet things up and change tone a bit.

i just checked and i have no resonator. if i put one on how much quieter will this make it? how do you think putting a stock ss muffler on would sound with no resonator? thanks for the help

Resonator helps A LOT as long as you get a quality one

get a magnaflow 11216 muffler. ive seen them in person and they are absolutely sexy. and not too loud. heres a video of one on an LS

That does sound good. Is that just the catback exhaust or is that with a header and dp?

all that guy has is the stock exhaust with a magnaflow muffler. im sure it woudl sound very similar.

should be close with a header n dp
