Saw? Is the silencer welded in? Why would they even put the bolts at the end then?

take a broom end or something that is hard and wont break put it down in the silincer and move back and forth...

someone also suggested a puill hammer to do it..

or a screw driver and get it inbetween the muffler and the silencer and then get a pliers and pull....it is not welded in.

I was the one who used a pull hammer. one hit and it came out, I dont know why but they always wedge the silencers in.

I pullhammer is basically a pipe with a sliding handle and is large at both ends(so the sliding part doesnt come off) one end has a place for attatchments and it is mainly for pulling things apart. the hammering action is where you have the attachment inside or securely outside of whatever you are trying to remove and you pull the hammer(handle) towards you, hitting the widened end and effectively jarring the crap out of what youre trying to remove.

Edit: More commonly called a Slide Hammer

The main use for them is when removing those pressed in hub bearings and auto dody uses the alot to pull dents just on a smaller level.

You can rent one from autozone or pepboys. You might even want to just pick one up so you have it.
