Hi, i have a 07 cobalt LT and wanted to know if this cat back would work and if anyone has ever got anything from this site before?

Yes, that will bolt right up. IMO 2.5" is a little big for the 2.2. I've also heard that the Megan is really loud, but to each his own.

 

I'd find a used cat back off an SS/SC. Because its a factory exhaust its quieter than the aftermarket alternatives and being used is should be WOW cheaper.

 

Im about to order this, can anyone tell me if this works on my LT for sure or not

the 2.4 inlet is alittle big for your LT ... plus its just the muffler.. why not just buy a new exhaust?

oh and all the drift spec systems are on backorder... I have it and i love it personally if you want i can post vids

 

What do you mean by too big? wont fit or wont be loud?

I well be getting some cat back pipes from muffler man i just to get that muffler first because i cant find a whole cat back kit with that muffler they just have all plain steel ones.

 

1. the stock piping for the cobalt exhaust is 2.25... now... your putting on a 2.4" exhaust so the muffler inlet would be too big...

2. What makes you want this muffler so bad? you could spend less money on a good catback that will get you good proven gains...

 

Nah, 2.5" will be fine. A 2.2L engine isnt that small for a 4-cyl........hell my friend's '07 Focus has a 2.5" Tru-Benz cat-back on it. And yeah, the Megan will be loud. Loud is good though IMO, lol. My full exhaust is hella loud on my 2.4SS.

 

i have a full exhaust on my car and it sounds fine, sounds nice, not to loud,, def nto ricey, and i have the megan catback, great exhaust for the cash, i would recomend it

 

Ok so im good to go? I can order that muffler and it well weld nicely together with the stock pipes?

that is a whole catback.... comes from the downpipe- back.... its basically the same muffler just the other one just has a titanium tip... which IMO.. its not worth the extra money... just get the catback and be happy... its definatly worth it...
